Pumpkin Mantou
Cooking Method:
- Steam – Pour a cup of water (250ml) in the pot (Recommended to have a bit more water to avoid drying out in the process of steaming), place a steamer/ rack and bring the water to boil. Take the mantou from the freezer and place it on a plate, then place the mantou and plate in the pot, cover, and steam for 12-15 minutes on medium heat. Later, turn off the heat and leave it in the pot with lid closed for 5 minutes before serving.
- Microwave -Take the mantou out from the freezer, open the packing, rinse the mantou with cold water. Then place the mantou on a plate (for microwave use), cover the plate with microwave safe cling wrap, and microwave for 2-5 minutes. It’s best served hot.
- Frying – Heat up a non-stick pan over medium heat, add some oil and spread the oil evenly. Take the mantou from the freezer and put the mantou in a non-stick pan then pour a bowl of water (about 100-150ml), into the pan and close the lid. Let it fry for 12-15 minutes on medium low heat until the water is dry. When the mantou are golden brown at one side, turn off the heat and serve.
- Deep Frying – Pour the oil into the pan, heat it to 165-170 degrees over medium heat, remove the mantou from the freezer, cut it into thin slices and carefully put the mantou into the pan, and deep fry for 7-10 minutes or until mantou turn golden brown. Put on the place and serve.
- Air Fryer – Cut the frozen mantou into half then spread with unsalted butter. Switch the air fryer to 200 degrees for 7-8 minutes, add some condensed milk before serve.
